i was thinking the other day about fiction and imagination. i really believe that often fiction has more truth than nonfiction. certainly the story may not be true, but the emotions, attitudes, charicatures, and many other things that are hard to put into words are often painted much better with stories than reality.

my wife and i went to see “Amazing Grace” last night. i went with no expectations because i didnt really know about the abolition of slavery in the British Empire. but i was thinking it would be good.
